Pee Wee Bombers - Oct 09, 2006
Saturday saw the PeeWee Bombers in action taking on the Port Alberni Sea Lions. The Bombers applied a balanced attack between the rushing and passing games, and went on to a 26-6 win. The Bomber scoring came on two passing touchdowns, one from Q.B. Eric Lindsay to Martin Price, and the second from Q.B. Nicholas Bury to Caleb Harder, as well as two running touchdowns, one a failed reverse from running back Quinn Day, and the second on a 70 plus yard run from Q.B. Nicholas Bury.
The real story out of Saturday's game was the strength of the Bombers lines. The O-Line with Katy Bownick, Eli Brooks, Mark Smoke, Michael Reid and Noah Freedman provided the protection for the rest of the offence. The D-Line with Brody Taylor, Rhys Bibby, Damion Charles, and Alex Smith were the force in holding the Sea Lions to 6 points.
Next week the Bombers "drop" in to Campbell River on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
